Our History

We are committed to education and specifically second language acquisition. Our mentor, John Rassias, has been at the forefront of language instruction for more than four decades. For over 25 years, The Rassias Center for World Languages and Culture at Dartmouth College has offered people of all ages 10 day summer immersion courses in over thirteen different languages (ALPs) at Dartmouth as well as workshops for language teachers.

Professor Rassias was a pioneer in language instruction for Peace Corps volunteers, as well as programs for other Federal government agencies. He taught at Dartmouth, where several thousand students have been instructed in different languages through his methods.
Our success over these many years confirms our belief that we can only maintain the quality of our programs by building personalized contact with you, your parents, our staff, and our European associates.
We are committed to quality in our staff, our host families, our itineraries, and in you. To accomplish this we have elected to stay small, limiting enrollments to 15 to 35 students in the French and Spanish high school programs, and 5 to 10 in the high school Perú program. In the end, it is the only way to assure us of quality.
